ISAAC NEWTON: THE GREAT SCIENTIST

Isaac Newton, born on January 4, 1643, is well known for his work on the laws of motion, optics, gravity, and calculus. In 1687, Newton published a book called the Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica in which he presents his theory of universal gravitation and three laws of motion. Newton built the first practical reflecting telescope in 1668.
One of the famous laws is of "Gravitional Force" which he realized when an apple fall from the tree. But it is not the truth at all. Keep reading and you'll know why?
Hence, this great scientist has lot of works which are even studied today all over the world by students...
- Isaac Newton was not expected to survive...
- That apple thing never happened which is going on today still! Some scholars thought that it fell on Newton's head and the idea of law of gravity was introduced but the real story was that he was merely looking at the window when he saw the fruit drop.
-Despite being born on January 4, Isaac Newton was born on Xmas or Christmas day. This happened when new calendar came into existence.
- Isaac Newton's dog set his laboratory on fire which ruined 20 years of research.
- Late in life, Newton suffered a nervous breakdown and became known for rather eccentric behavior
- Newton's mother wanted him to become a farmer.
- As a professor at cambridge, his lectures were poorly attended.
- Newton served in the parliament quietly and wasn't much interested in politics.
